Handmade creations such as special constructions, original shelves, practical bedside tables, coffee tables / TV tables and auxiliary tables in dimensions that suit your space and imaginative handmade deco parts. The materials used for the constructions are wood, metal, boat rope and many other natural or recyclable materials offering unmatched quality at the best prices. At last we would like to inform that we can ship products all over Greece!
The idea first started while walking through natural paths and found “junk-treasures” like timeworn antique furniture, village style doors and windows with natural patina technique as well as old fashion utensils and other household. The idea to combine that junk with more modern materials proved to be success full and the outcome was wood stories! Within corporate liability the manufacturer is using only natural and recycled materials with absolute respect to the environment.
This project started out as a coffee table inspired from a similar design that I found on here but once I started pricing out TV stands I realized why not save myself 100-200 dollars and just convert it midstream into something that I could put my TV on. The type of skid was a European skid so the fork holes looked like a natural spot to put my DirectTV and DVD player. It is stained with a mix of ebony stain and some other darker stain that I liked, wish I would have went a bit lighter to show the contrast but it fits with my rustic decor in my new home that I am renting. Hope you like it.
Created this TV stand from old pallets from work. Drawer at the bottom to hold odds and ends or just for looks and two shelves to hold the TV and DVD etc.
I renovated part of our farm steading in the winter of 2012/13 and we now rent it out as a holiday cottage (The Cow Shed). It’s going really well. It inspired me to do another one (Cow Shed 2) and I decided I wanted to build it being as sustainable as possible. The local garden centre provided me with over 100 pallets which would probably have ended up on the fire. After a drying, splitting, sanding, and more drying (this time in the house) process they ended up as cladding on the bedroom wall, cladding around the French Doors in the lounge, skirting boards, bathroom & bedroom mirrors, light fittings, the TV/HiFi stand, a bathroom sink unit, window recesses and the entire kitchen.
Everything but the kitchen units was oiled with Danish Oil and treated with a fire proofing spray. The kitchen was varnished twice with a clear satin varnish. I decided to sand each strip of wood, rather than plane, to retain the aged look which I think adds huge character to the finish. As an aside I also built a clay rendered straw bale partition wall to split the remaining steading in two to create the second cottage and used hessian on the internal ceiling. The door facings and skirting boards in the lounge are all made from the old recycled tie beams that came out of the steading roof. Using pallet wood slowed up the build process but created a fantastic finish that was ultimately worth the extra hours. Next project – full straw bale holiday lodge in our field, internally finished with plenty of pallet wood of course!
